@NianticHelp my son lost access to his Gmail (school) account and the FB account he linked got deactivated as well. He's level 41, paid for Go Fest, and isn't getting anywhere with his attempts to restore access to his account. Please help!
It was great meeting @AaronKlein in person and hearing about the startup journey at @Riskalyze! Good to catch up with @akalsey too! Thanks for the beer!
I’ve been a longtime @USAA member and have generally been impressed with their progressive technology. However, their cap on password length (12) and seemingly disinterest in addressing it, is concerning https://t.co/gcFZW7uXbs #security
Great perspective on the topic of feedback:
“Don’t wonder whether or not they’re right, wonder why it is that they have that impression.”
- @BillBetweet on the @jaltucher podcast #305
Went backpacking with two of my sons over the weekend and got some much-needed R&R. Also got a chance to dive into "The Hard Thing About Hard Things" by @bhorowitz, whom I worked for 18yrs ago at Loudcloud, in my first job out of college! #nostalgia
The word “refactoring” should never appear in a schedule. Refactoring is not a story or a backlog item. Refactoring is not a scheduled task. Refactoring is immediate and continuous. It’s like washing your hands in the bathroom. You always do it.
@akalsey Ultimately, I want feedback to come from the team, continually. 1:1’s would be a place to review and address additional items. Big accomplishments or issues should be addressed ASAP. Then annual reviews would be a recap / used for merit decision.
Love this thread, Adam! It is so easy to fall into the trap of being busy. A daily log is a great idea to highlight “wasted” time. Are there any particular tools you are using to track your time? https://t.co/KKxvG4WkRi
1/ I'm finding myself falling into the trap of being busy. The day/week/month ends and I realize that although I've worked a ton and been busy all the time, I haven't gotten as much done as I'd have liked.
