Through supportive policies, Government is helping increase feed availability, support farmers, create jobs, and strengthen food security.
This is real action to lower the cost of livestock production.
The Mass Vaccination Programme has now reached over 9 million animals, protecting livestock from disease even as they move in search of pasture due to drought.
This is a key intervention to keep animals healthy and safeguard livelihoods.
Today we celebrated the 69th Graduation Ceremony of the Dairy Training Institute — a proud moment for our livestock sector.
These graduates are stepping into the field as skilled professionals whose knowledge will drive better animal feeding, breeding, hygiene, and milk quality across the country.
I encouraged them to use their training to strengthen our dairy industry, improve farmer incomes, and secure the nutrition of our nation.
Congratulations to the new generation of dairy champions — your journey to transform Kenya’s dairy sector begins today.
Later, I joined a grieving family in Embu to console with them as they continue to bear the pain of losing their beloved mother just last month, and now their siblings.
Losing loved ones so close together is a weight no family should have to carry, yet in such moments we are reminded of the depth of God’s love and comfort. His word assures us that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
Even in sorrow, may this family find strength in knowing that their loved ones rest in peace, and that they are not alone—friends, neighbors, and all of us stand with them.
May God grant them healing, hope, and the courage to face each new day with renewed faith. 🕊️
The livestock restocking program continued today in Mwingi North Sub-county, where 465 goats were distributed to 93 households that lost their livestock during the devastating drought.
The empowerment of women, youth, Jua Kali artisans and Boda Boda SACCOs in Kitui Central today is a game-changer that will uplift livelihoods and unlock local economic potential.
I extend my gratitude to H.E. President @WilliamsRuto and Deputy President Prof. @KindikiKithure for giving the people of Kitui this opportunity, which aligns squarely with the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
As Government, we remain fully committed to transforming lives and ensuring that no one is left behind.
Kyuso, Mwingi North Women and Youth empowerment program led by Speaker @HonWetangula earlier today.
These efforts reflect the Government’s continued drive to open up opportunities, support local initiatives, and build a more inclusive economy under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
