@aksocolofsky I feel all of this. I have wanted to add composition to my music classes but I keep thinking I need to give them a massive theory background first. I have a masters in music and I feel like I don’t understand enough theory to compose- it’s a hang up I need to get over.

You never learn anything being perfect. Mistakes are a large part of the learning process. How we choose to react when faced with adversity says a great deal about our integrity.

My 17yr old daughter just said “if one person dies from a prop gun in a movie set, everyone talks about its safety relentlessly but when kids die from mass shootings in schools, it’s not a big deal. It’s unbelievable💔” - how about no one should die from gun violence?
