I think it needs to be heard that(according to sources) West Virginia baseball cut one of their best pitchers early in the season because he was bashing the coaching staff(not bought in). Now they are headed to Omaha to play in the CWS.
“Mountaineers are going to Omaha. 135 years in the making. Pretty special.”
“This is why I came here 11 years ago. … to be the best in the world.”

Got to congratulate my long-time friend and boss @wmattwells for his role as @WVUBaseball’s senior admin in getting the Mountaineers to the College World Series. His work behind the scenes has been vital to the team’s success. It takes a total organization!
Thank you to…
everyone who played for @WVUBaseball in the 135 seasons of ball
Every player, fan and coach that endured Harley Field
Everyone that has watched games during freezing rain and snow
Every fan lined up the past two weekends to will their beloved team to victory!
Every fan in every nook, cranny and “holler” that cheer for the Mountaineers in good times and bad like their lives depend on it
@CoachMazey and his family for investing their time and talents into this program
And ESPECIALLY @stevesabins, his staff and the @WVUBaseball team for giving Mountaineers all over the world moments we’ll never forget.
Let’s go to Omaha and make some noise @WVUSports!!! Those Country Roads lead home but also lead to Omaha!!!!
So “From Weirton to Welch, from Martinsburg to Matewan and all points in between” let’s celebrate. You did this! Let’s Go!!!!
The Mountaineers are going to OMAHA for the first time in program history.
The players, staff, admin, families, fans, supporters, alumni, administration, and entire STATE did it.
"All of that excitement starts from a passion of this state. It's a passion for what WVU has going on. This team is the New York Yankees of West Virginia. ... I'm thankful for all the fans."
Steve Sabins on the historic support @WVUBaseball is getting.

Chansen Cole joins a very select group of double-digit winners with today’s victory, No. 10. That’s more than 130 year’s worth of college baseball at WVU!
@wvubaseball
The great part of this picture is that it captures players from the past 14 years with their coach. For those of us who have been a part of the @DU_Baseball experience, the joy we feel for this team is only surpassed by the joy we feel for Mike Deegan.
Tomorrow, we will host the first-ever Morgantown Super Regional, with @WVUBaseball taking on Cal Poly.
Here's how the 📻 broadcast will begin tomorrow, commemorating how far this program has come!
