The scandal of mediocre liturgy, homosexual clergy, bland catechesis, 8 Catholics leaving the Church for every 1 returning, and a revolutionary episcopate is enough. The problem is not the light being shed on it. We have a 5 alarm fire, it’s time we start treating it like it.
@poperespecter1 I have found that the echo chamber is pretty strong on the pope(Francis)splainer side. Usually posting any snippet that mentions “immigration” in order to own conservatives.
Every IVF involves doctors fertilizing ~12 eggs. From those 12, ~3 are implanted with the hope that 1 will survive. When more than 1 survives, many moms choose "selective reduction" (killing all but 1 of the babies).
So 11 dead babies for each IVF.
Sick practice to support.
Billions*. This is the Protestant kind of thinking which put dinosaurs on the #arcencounter or else thinks God put dinosaur bones in the ground to make it look old.
Non-Catholics can get to Heaven, but everyone in Heaven is Catholic – because to be Catholic is to recognise the fullness of Truth.
Those who are non-Catholic are saved in spite of their religions, not because of them.
What is the true meaning of life? What can free us from being trapped in meaninglessness, boredom and mediocrity? The fullness of our existence does not depend on what we store up or what we possess. Rather, fullness has to do with what we joyfully welcome and share. #JubileeOfYouth
Most people think “Catholic = Roman.”
But the Catholic Church includes 6 liturgical rites and 23 Eastern Catholic Churches, all in full communion with Rome.
Same faith, different traditions.
Here’s your intro to the other Catholic rites. 🧵
Liberal playbook. 1) Say that ____ liberal policy is NOT what it obviously is. 2) Accuse those on the right of what the left is actually doing. 3) Attack anyone who says otherwise as divisive.
@holysmoke It’s not a good vs evil situation… it’s a reverence vs tackiness. But when tackiness becomes sanctimonious virtue signaling under the aegis of liturgy liberal rigidity take hold and liturgy becomes worldly.
Liberal-Catholics: “We need less division in the Church.”
Traditional-Catholic: *breathes*
Liberal-Catholic: “Heretic!” “Backwardist!” “Schismatic!” “Disloyal!” “Fire him!” “Kick them out of their church!” “Exile them to a single chapel an hour in the countryside”
…
@LifeNewsHQ Duh… everyone should seek to prevent the intrinsic and grave evil of abortion. The question is much like asking, “should a person be able to stop another person from committing murder?” The answer of course being yes, in any civil society, such an action should be outlawed.
@mfjlewis@FeserEdward When you start considering just about everyone to be heretics (much like the Sedes on the right and the NCReporter types on the left) it is probably a good sign that something is terribly awry.
@holysmoke I think this is incorrect. There’s a reason a supermajority of Novus Ordo mass attending Catholics DON’T go to church on Sunday, or even seek out Protestant services. Whether or not they know it is the NO, I think it’s fair to say that it is not speaking to a lot of Catholics.
Thank goodness that the Soviet Union, communist China, Cambodia, Cuba, and other countries showed us how lovely, peaceful, and humane the world is without religion.
