@TheKanehB@RealDutchsinse Nextel as a brand specifically used proprietary hardware license from Motorola. No other company could generate the exact same products since they could not get access to the hardware. Today that is not the case as voice over IP applications can mimic the functionality.
Life observation #162:
Some people insist on having their cell phone conversations at full volume on speakerphone in public areas, such as stores.
Why?
@DaisyDukes5599@miles_commodore Learned to drive stick when I was about 12 in my dad's old work truck on private property. 1960s GMC box truck for the four-speed manual on the floor and heavy duty everything. Manual cars were a breeze after driving that tank.
@FreckleFaceFvck I had the unfortunate luck of having to replace windshields in two of my cars fairly close together a few years ago. As I recall, I had a $100 deductible so I was out of pocket $200 total for two new windshields. Both were done in my driveway by Safelite.
Officially feeling old now. Went to the supermarket and they were playing the normal "oldie hits" type music. The particular banger they had going when I walked in? "Hysteria" by Def Leppard.
Time to go sit on the rocker in my porch and yell at the kids not to touch my grass.
@alt_w_v_g While not as detailed as this, I did something similar years ago. Researched and found the dealer invoice pricing for the car I was ordering online and had it in my pocket for when we got to the price negotiations. Once they knew I had it, got the car for $500 over invoice.
@the7maxims Absolutely. Even in my 20's (admittedly a long time ago), you could find a really decent used car for a few thousand. Definitely not the case over the past 5 years or more.
