The foundation for why MCS is needed in certain high risk PCI (and most shock) cases. Balloon inflations, atherectomy, embolisation cause rapid hemodynamic changes in high risk pts, which are stablized with use of MCS. Allowing for stable hemodynamics for revascularization.
