@ToryMemo82@TraffordBlue Regained former seats in south but will struggle to regain elsewhere especially where votes split between them and Reform and get anywhere near 32. Trafford will go NOC next time as Lab clung on in several seats by the smallest of margins, could have been alot worse for them
@jo32192000 Brooklands was another seat where the Reform/Tory split meant Lab clung on. Lab would have lost the council but for a number of seats where they won by a small margin and those where the right-wing opposition vote was split. We're heading for no overall control next year
@HRichardsonLDR@MENnewsdesk I live in Timperley North and the only leaflet I got was from Lab,maybe the Timperley Dems need to start campaigning elsewhere in Trafford and not helping their neighbours in Stockport #complacent
@jo32192000 There were a few seats where Lab clung on or where the Tory/Reform vote combined was more than the winner.Lab loses control next year but I can't see another party getting to 32 seats so some form of coalition unless there are drastic changes
@jo32192000 Timperley North, had a Lab leaflet hand delivered by the candidate, nothing off any of the other parties. The LD have been around in the mths leading up to election but they must be fairly complacent and when they do it's a list of minor local achievements. Tempted to spoil but .
@cork_reds Lost the last 3 games of the season and Ferguson said this carried over into the following season and contributed to their failure to win the title the following year
@LukeTryl Trafford's gone even more mad in recent yrs, Tories lost seats they've never lost before, unclear whether the Green rise is a protest vote or not and Lab will retain power despite being very unpopular, right wing vote is split.LD retain their Timperley fiefdom but that's it
@jo32192000 Absolutely rammed in the brewery last night which is great for the business but where were all these people in the winter when their patronage was really needed? Only stopped for a couple en route to another great comedy night at the Garrick
@90sFootballUK1 Remember begging my mum to buy one of those pouches to put them in, after seeing Peter Shilton use one for his and leave it in the back of the goal during matches. Can't say it made me a better GK but I looked the part
@johnmactravels Yep, can see this coming at Old Trafford, already had to buy a new phone this season to allow my NFC-style season ticket to work and they scrapped the end of season yearbook in physical form after Covid. Still got the RedNews and United We Stand fanzines for now though
@goalkeepersdiff Andy "Streaky" Styles, brought a Grobbelaar-esque presence to Melchester Rovers (without the alleged match fixing). Seem to remember him having a dicey debut in a classic potential giant killing in the cup
@SarahChampion Reruns of Top of the Pops from that era on BBC4 on a Friday night help, although the regular culls to remove episodes containing various presenters is reducing the availability. Only the Tony Blackburn episodes will be left before long
@vitt2tsnoc Probably should have got the gig ahead of Zoe Ball yrs ago but I think she's matured as a radio presenter since then, so feels like her time and I'm looking forward to it. Part of me feels this should have a domino effect on the rest of the midweek afternoon slots b4 JW begins
@jo32192000 Looking at prediction sites, they say little change in Trafford https://t.co/hC7zCXmne7, Tory vote still weak and Reform are picking up enough to allow Lab to retain seats. Doesn't tally with the feeling on the ground but others expect Greens to do well https://t.co/cYdjnyEyav
@80s_Kidz Getting down to the last 50 and being able to send off for them directly.Ebay killed this slightly,my dtr completed the last few world cup/euros before panini lost the contract.Packs had become pretty expensive by then
@jo32192000 Surprised to see so many Con ones given scarcity in recent yrs and the fact they become a target for vandalism. Obviously no Lab ones about given councils unpopularity, ironically alot of Green ones in some of the more affluent areas. Lib Dems tend to focus solely on Park Road
@cork_reds Remember this game for Glazers making everyone on the waiting list a season ticket holder, therefore much harder to get semi final tickets. Watford then insisted on their full allocation, sold them ad hoc and returned loads that couldn't be resold, hence patches of empty seats
@1990sUtd It makes things worse, I go in via the turnstiles to the right of the picture and you end up with more congestion and a large gathering of away fans right next to the queues of home fans. Also interesting to see how many people get pulled out of the queue by the drugs dogs
