Ghanaian midwife, Ms. Helen Dzameshie has been hailed by many for her heroism in successfully delivering a baby on a farm footpath, at a rural community in the Upper Manya Krobo District on 19th June 2025.

Without any advanced medical equipment or supplies, she relied solely on expertise and delivery kit to safely deliver the baby, administered prenatal care and escorted the mother to the Sekesua Health Center, where she’s stationed.
