Tackling is an imperfect science. If there were a magic drill, we'd all be using it. Yet every year people claim they've solved tackling. The reality is that tackling is the process of translating foundational physical and cognitive skills into live decision-making.
NEW: Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko on College Football Playoff expansion talk:
"What does Mike Elko want? 40. Then I won’t get fired. It's ok to make it hard to get to the playoff."
Elko continued: "None of us are answering for the good of the sport. We’re answering for the good of ourselves."

@thebighurtcurt It is senior night, he’s a senior PO. His opportunity to get in game for our senior night was for him to pinch run for a guy at 3rd. And he had fun with it. So did other 2 PO’s.
If you want to see how serious a player he is he will be throwing tomorrow night at Siegel High 7:00.
Congratulations to @siegelbaseball1 Jackson Zeltner on signing to continue his academic and athletic career at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

One more note on the state tournament, TSSAA’s decision to no longer charge for parking…. Perfect decision. Parking was a BREEZE all week.
Interested to see what next week looks like with classes back in session.
Everyone likes to complain about everything and I’m right up there. But I haven’t heard any mention of the free parking at MTSU for the state basketball tournaments. That’s a nice little blessing.
