6/26 Sat. - The hike was a struggle for some, but all made it back in good spirits and we enjoyed our last real meal at Lake Hume before we start eating only backpacking food.
Left Crystal Springs Campground. Left our cars at Big Meadow Trailhead and began backpacking with our packs at their fullest and heaviest. We got to Weaver Lake about 3.7 miles but only averaging a mile an hour. The thin air at 8500 Ft. made it hard for some with lungs burning.
