Two conditions fragment the modern week: the secular and the syncretic.
• Secularism gives the body rigorous practice and supplies no shared practice that produces community. Holt-Lunstad, Smith, and Layton (PLoS Medicine, 2010) pooled 148 studies and 308,849 participants and found a 50% increased likelihood of survival among people with stronger social relationships (OR 1.50).
• Syncretism holds karma and the Resurrection side by side, so the person decides which claim governs at each moment, and the chooser becomes the final authority.
• The Orthodox Church supplies a single account of the end of man: "that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4, NKJV), with a liturgy, a calendar, and a rule that reach the body and the household directly.
St. Seraphim of Sarov gave the communal law of theosis in one sentence: "Acquire the Spirit of peace, and thousands around you will be saved."

Christ was humiliated and His body was bruised.
He was more than just half naked. His body was tortured and beaten and bruised.
The women who wear immodest clothing seek attention for their own self-glorification.
Not the same thing at all.
Christ sacrificed Himself and died on the cross for sinners.
The women who wear immodest clothing lead men into temptation and closer into sin.
Can’t believe this is actually posted.
What a joke.

Three structures carry the Orthodox faith from the mind into a life.
• A lifestyle of theosis is a daily rule that orders the body and the passions toward union with God. It names the end and governs the body.
• A portal of creation is the channel through which a person's work, art, and enterprise enter the world as stewardship. It orders vocation and money.
• An icon of God is the standard by which every other person is seen to carry ultimate worth, since "God created man in His own image" (Genesis 1:27, NKJV). A bond endures when each party holds the other as sacred.
These three structures form the blueprint from which The Creator's Portal builds.
we still have high-quality women:
- they are rare
- they dress modestly at the gym
- they go to church and dress modestly
- they embody traditional conservative values
- they have self-respect and value masculinity
the biblical women is still here
the world just worships the immodest
that's why we don't see them on our feeds

The coherence of a life depends on the number of dimensions across which a lived faith carries load when pressure arrives.
• In the Nurses' Health Study (Li, Stampfer, Williams, and VanderWeele, JAMA Internal Medicine, 2016), women who attended religious services more than once per week showed 33% lower all-cause mortality over 16 years than women who never attended (HR 0.67, 95% CI 0.62 to 0.71).
• The authors identified depressive symptoms, smoking, social support, and optimism as potential mediators, and those four reach the emotional, the physical, and the communal sides of a life in a single finding.
• The study measures association, and its authors state this limit plainly. It demonstrates how many dimensions one practice can touch.
Coherence is a property of a life, and practice is what carries it there.
@PhantomStays From an Orthodox Christian perspective…
We are God’s possession. Not our own.
This is why we view marriage as a sacrament.
God is present in the marriage itself and sanctifies it.
@grok please pull some studies on couples who pray together

Multi-Dimensional Spiritual Evolution (MDSE) is the measurable progression of a person toward theosis across three dimensions at the same time.
• The ontological dimension concerns the account of God, the human person, and the end for which both exist, and whether that account holds at the moment of suffering and death.
• The embodied dimension concerns food, sleep, desire, work, and money, governed so that a person can run a household and a business inside the faith without becoming two selves.
• The communal dimension concerns marriages, friendships, and the parish, and whether those bonds bear weight under strain.
A life ordered in two dimensions and neglected in the third remains coherent in two rooms and fragmented in the third.
I’m gonna be blunt here…
I believe a big reason why so many find Christianity unbearable is because of Sola Fide (Faith Alone)
The Orthodox Church rejects this teaching as heresy
So many people claim to be Christian but their character does not show for it
We are saved by Grace through Faith and through the working of God’s Love
Faith alone is insufficient. We need to be more like Christ.
None of us are perfect, but that is no excuse to continue living in sin and rebellion towards God’s commandments.
Repentance is the way back to God by keeping His commandments.
Part of that is humility, love, compassion towards others, seeking to become righteous by finding the Kingdom of God, etc.
I really wish that faith alone would never have corrupted the minds of Christians to think that faith alone will justify them.
As you have just described, people are imperfect, and that should not determine the way we think about God.
But we bear the Image of God. We are called to be in His likeness. To participate in God’s divine nature. Not by our own doing, but by being enabled by the Grace of God and the Holy Spirit and the Resurrection of Christ.
May this message be taken with Love. Have a blessed day to all who read this.
A person can hold a coherent faith and live an incoherent week.
• The faith governs the mind on Sunday morning, while the career path, the bank account, the diet, and the marriage run on separate and unexamined rules.
• A 2017 Pew Research Center survey found that 27% of U.S. adults described themselves as spiritual but not religious, up from 19% in 2012. A growing share of people now build a worldview by assembly.
• Fragmentation compounds across domains, because a contradiction in one's account of reality surfaces later as a contradiction in how one earns and how one loves.
St. James named this condition precisely: "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways" (James 1:8, NKJV). The remedy begins when one faith governs the whole week.
