In a Facebook post, Daniel’s sister says she was contacted by JSO, they’ve submitted their final report, and expect a decision from State Attorney Melissa Nelson’s office on Daniel’s case within a week.
Paramedics lost Daniel's vitals 5 minutes after injecting him with ketamine. He was given the max dosage of ketamine, inconsistent with his weight, while held down by officers.
JFRD policy surrounding the drug is lax compared to other agencies. @WJCTNews

This story is a follow-up to a joint investigation with The Florida Times-Union that first revealed many details in the case. Daniel was set be released for misdemeanor trespassing before a jail fight left him bloodied, and ultimately dead, a week later.

In the ensuing 10 months since his death, the case is still being investigated by JSO and State Attorney Melissa Nelson's office. The last public update was that a second coroner's report had been requested in March after the first determined Daniel's death was a homicide.

I interviewed @AntonSvirskyi on how he started the Ukrainian Humanitarian Drive. Held from April 11th to April 29th, the drive accumulated around 100 boxes of donations. As it’s making its way to Chicago, it will then fly to Ukraine in the coming weeks. @WUFTNews#Ukraine
The SJC Board of County Commission smacked this down with little debate, even after the representative for the developments offered to rework the alternative mitigation plan.
Looks like these eagles will be safe from human disturbance— for now. @WJCTNews

🧵(1/5) African American cemeteries established during the Jim Crow era did not receive the same attention and maintenance from city governments as white cemeteries did. In Alachua County, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery was established in 1883. Today it has several broken headstones.👇
