Carl Albert-Guthrie in Oklahoma high school football has delivered.
Gutsy drive from Carl Albert at the end. That’s what champions do. Impressive performance from Guthrie, too. Great football game.
𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: Caleb Williams responds to the fan that harassed him about his nails after the team’s blowout loss to Notre Dame:
“I mean, everybody wants to be in these two [size] 12.5 shoes right here. I’m not worried about some kid running out on the field that doesn’t have anything really associated to Notre Dame other than possibly their family going there or him going there himself. Got a lot of guys over here that I’ve got to lead, so some opinion of a sheep, lions don’t worry about that stuff.”

𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: The #NFL made Maxx Crosby change his triangle facemask in their game against the #Patriots last week, he said on his podcast @TheRushWithMaxx
Crosby wears the triangle facemask because it’s a symbol of his sobriety, something that means a lot to him.
Hopefully Crosby can talk with Roger Goodell and sort it out, because he should be allowed to wear it.
“The triangle to me represents sobriety. It’s everything, it’s why I’m here. It’s why I got a beautiful daughter, a family, great circle of people. It literally is everything. If I didn’t make that decision to clean my life up, get in AA and the 12 steps, I wouldn’t be here.”

This sucks. Further evidence that Phoenix is one of the softest sports market in the country. We can’t expect the team to build towards sustained success if we can’t be bothered to show up when the team is in the (checks notes) NLCS. Win or lose we should be there for the boys.
The ‘Get-in’ price for Game 3 of the NLCS in Phoenix has plummeted by 90% to just $15 after the #Dbacks’10-0 defeat in Game 2, per TickPick.
The ‘get-in” price for Game 1 in Philadelphia was $467.
South Carolina’s Shane Beamer broke his foot after Florida loss: “It certainly was a gut-wrenching, emotional loss. I was frustrated & kicked something I shouldn't have kicked & thought I was OK. The adrenaline of the game wore off & before anybody starts the narrative - the head football coach is frustrated & lost his poise & all that - no. I care about these kids. I was really upset on Saturday night ‘cause I didn't do enough to help them get over the hump & win the football game. I don't think I have to have surgery, but there is a broken bone in my foot. It hurts like ‘you know what.’ I've got to show toughness & fight through it. It’s been one of those years”
