Today, on National #truthandreconciliationday, let us re-commit to pursuing the truth—a more inclusive & accurate telling of the story of Canada.
And let us have the courage to continue to act—to advance true reconciliation. Building our shared future takes all of us.

What does reconciliation mean to you? 🧡
Our AFN staff share their personal reflections. For each of us, reconciliation is a journey of action, accountability, and respect for First Nations peoples, cultures, and self-determination.
As the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day approach, we invite you to pause and reflect: What does reconciliation mean to you? What steps will you take to create meaningful change?

Under the full moon, the land takes on a different kind of stillness. In Tsilhqot’in culture, our relationship with the natural world is rooted in respect, reciprocity, and the understanding that we belong to the land—not the other way around. Nights like this are a good reminder to slow down, look up, and remember our place within something much older than ourselves.
