6’3 English G @mal1qb is a hard working defensive minded player who can defend 1-3!
Maliq personifies a defensive stopper and the ability to shoot from 3 and get downhill! Defensively, Maliq does the things that don’t show up on the box score, making great rotations, hustling back in transition, and doing the dirty work. Also averaging 1.8 deflections, 1.2 steals, mixing it up inside with 3.2 rebounds.
Offensively, Maliq attacks the basket with aggression and is able to knock down 3s. Attacking the basket and finished at 52%, including multiple and ones and showcasing his ability to finish through contact. He explodes in transition, using his athleticism to draw attention and finish.
His ability to shoot the 3, particularly with 33% made from the corners, allow him to space the floor, and attack hard close outs. The ability to get hot with a 4/4 first half against ACF, and coming up with big time 3s in closing moments of the game.

@mal1qb will bring intensity and energy, along with great defensive tools and shooting, make him an X-factor to winning basketball!
