“When people talk about what 'the Amish' do to achieve health, they tend to apply certain positive-seeming traits across ‘the Amish’ as a whole,” Erik Wesner told USA TODAY... “They also tend to ignore any negatives within the Amish.” https://t.co/LafU6ecLyu
The "Amish vote" story was overblown.
More so than in any other election in the past 16+ years.
There is not some massive Amish voting bloc waiting to be unleashed. Contrary to what you might have been told.
The Amish vote remains too small to matter much. #Amish#AmishVote
The most horrifying pictures I have seen in many months. They came today from my beloved Lviv: the funeral of a mother and her three daughters killed in a Russian missile attack on the city a few days ago.
Ten years ago today a Russian Buk 9M38 surface to air missile shot down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, killing 298 innocent people.
Russian forces later posed for photos in the midst of the wreckage of the commercial airliner and stole personal items from victim's luggage.
Looks like we in Ukraine are going to have yet another night of Russian missile attacks… at least 13 Tupolev Tu-95MC bombers are up in the air right now likely preparing to deliver strikes.
Goodnight from Ukraine, which is fighting for its survival against one of the most brutal war machines in human history.
There will be a new day to carry on ☀️
⚡️Russian attack on Kharkiv Oblast village kills 50, including 6-year-old child.
Russian troops struck a grocery store and a cafe in Kharkiv Oblast’s village of Hroza, killing at least 50 people, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported on Oct. 5. https://t.co/77wOn69GJv
I think people already understand there won’t be a popular uprising in Russia to stop its unjust war. The majority either support it or don’t care. And the depressingly small minority opposing the war just isn’t enough. So, what would awaken Russian society? One word: humiliation
Russians have released a video today showing the execution of this unarmed Ukrainian prisoner. The killing is an obvious war crime. The victim's last words were "Glory to Ukraine!" His murder is likely to become a powerful and enduring symbol of Russia's genocidal invasion
Rest in peace, brave defender. After this AFU soldier was captured by Russian forces he refused to obey orders. Instead he responded with his final words: 'Slava Ukraini', before he was brutally executed.
Russia once again shows how inhumanely it behaves, and how far it is from the civilized world.
Take a good look. The world should take a good look. One side: Russian Nazi murderers and brutal savages murdering an Ukrainian POW after making him dig his own grave. The other side: this. This is an existential fight for the soul of our world.
I saw the video this morning of Russians executing an unarmed Ukrainian POW in cold blood after saying, “Glory to Ukraine,” while exhaling his last cigarette. Abhorrent and inhumane. Too brutal to re post but look at the video below for contrast.
A year ago. Mariupol. People sing the anthem of Ukraine after Putin recognized the pseudo-republics of the DNR and LNR. Next to the same drama theater where people and children were hiding. And which was bombed by Russian fascists, killing hundreds of people in it.
Today is the Day of Commemoration of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
Nine years ago today was the worst day of killings on Maidan by Putin-Yanukovych forces.
But it was also the day of the triumph of the Revolution of Dignity. The Ukrainian people held firm and won.
This was Mariupol exactly a year ago. A few days afterwards russians would come again to bomb, kill, exterminate, starve, torture, kidnap, or deport these people, turning the theater in the background into a big mass grave. All Mariupol residents wanted was a peaceful life at home
