@anenigma420@gfliverpool9966 I think the base intent is to help, and a lot of harm can start online, but regulation rather than a ban is where I would like to see efforts. Pathways to report harm that have to be actioned if the platform wants to do business here is better I think.
How does a full ban approach help kids who use social media as their lifelines to connect with others like them? The neurodivergent and queer kids in small towns with no other resources? Kids with unsupportive families? Kids with abusive parents?
We can all agree that kids should be protected.
Big tech and AI platform are targeting young people before their brains are fully developed. Manitoba is taking action by banning social media and AI chatbots for kids under 16.
It’s about taking back control over our kids eduction, socialization and in the long term, taking back control of our democracy. 🇨🇦
People with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) often face barriers in healthcare due to chemical exposures.
Fragrance-free environments can help improve access.

Thank you. To help pass Marit Stiles’ motion, go to https://t.co/MJOOuseSLz and use the email tool. It will send an email to every single Ontario PC MPP.
The more emails that are sent, the more pressure we can put on the MPPs to break with Doug Ford and support this common-sense motion.
Oh, chronic absenteeism after the pandemic has risen to over 60% for high school students in Ontario?
That’s because IT’S NOT AFTER THE PANDEMIC
Kids are missing school because they are sick, and this is happening on a global scale.

@shesrideordie Thank you! I’m very proud of everything I got done this term, I just can’t afford the pay cut required to do the job full-time. I’ll still be fighting for good choices to be made on the other side of the horseshoe. 😁
In 2021, I wrote a story about how, when the going gets tough, the Ford government's priority is to "protect the king."
The latest FOI changes appear to underline that government principle.

NEW: Ontario’s transparency watchdog says the Ford government’s planned overhaul of freedom of information laws is a “shocking” proposal designed to hide the premier’s cellphone records from the public. #OnPoli

Do you live with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) in the Québec City region? CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking someone willing to share their experience. For more information or to express interest, please email:

@barryjamesstein@CamGuthrie@cityofguelph@DanGibsonCllr Hi Barry, please email me at [email protected] to go over this. You have my personal twitter tagged, which is not the best way to reach me. The boxes are not meant to be disposed there and the city doesn’t do recycling pick up, so might need to reach out to two groups.
@ESL_fairy If at population level this severely reduces spread, then having more options should help everyone even if we need additional methods for autoimmune folks.
@IngredientsbyL@normsworld None for VOCs either even though we know that scent-free is supposed to be accommodated via the AODA, and people react to more than just fragrances in products. We should be able to easily measure this.
Temperature is one component of indoor air quality. Unfortunately there's no IAQ policy or law that ensures all buildings have clean air at a safe temperature, at any level of government - this is what CIean Indoor Air Toronto is fighting for!
