Alcohol is a neurotoxin, which means “it disrupts or even kills neurons (nerve cells) which are important for transmitting and processing signals in the brain and other parts of the nervous system.” (NIH)
I don’t know about you, but I like my brain. I like being creative and productive. I know what it looks like to not be after alcohol stole my brain for years, and frankly it sucked.
I felt like a useless zombie.
The good news is when you quit drinking, the booze fog clears up eventually, and you can return to your old self. Dare I say not just your old self, but a new and improved self because every creative thought feels like a gift.
You have to take the first step to get your brain back though. It doesn't happen magically. It takes you deciding to quit and then actually quitting.

@ketovoreyogi You’re doing amazing, I’m 11 weeks and the first month was really dreadful if I’m honest, I take x2 magnesium supplement each night half hour before bed which helps with a good sleep , may be something to try , it gets so much easier and the benefits are out of this world xxx
