The surge of measles cases in Southwestern Wisconsin continues to climb. What was 15 confirmed cases last week is 36 confirmed cases and 3 probably cases today, according to state health officials. The cases have been confirmed in residents of Layatette, Iowa and Grant counties.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is reporting a large increase in confirmed measles cases in Iowa and Lafayette counties, up from two a few days ago to 15 confirmed and six probable as of this morning (Aug. 13).
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has confirmed two cases of measles; one in a resident of Iowa County and one in a resident of Lafayette County. These are the third and fourth cases of measles confirmed in Wisconsin so far in 2026.
