@DuckyA670947 @BradLafortune Perfect. Maybe if they provided a banned book list instead, schools could have done a quick search through their libraries and pulled them. Now, when schools are doing searches on their own because they are in a rush, the government is angry and pushing the blame back.

@CherylHoste @BradLafortune The Alberta government won't release a banned book list. They are banning concepts. It would have been far easier for schools if they did create a list. Instead, they are getting angry with school divisions for following the ridiculously broad mandate given 2 weeks b4 school.

Some teachers get five copies of the email, some don't get it at all. Details are vague, exemption rules have tight timelines, and once again we are having to chase down just exactly what is going on. And they wonder why teachers mistrust everything they do.

Yesterday is another glaring example of government's failure to consult with the ATA. Government announced Bill 85 last fall, which included the news of a teacher registry--with details to come. They they send emails to teachers across the province causing mass confusion.
