JUST BLEW IT: Nike has erased nearly $200 billion in market value as the iconic American brand’s stock sinks to a 12-year low.
The Swoosh-emblazoned brand has been on a yearslong slide, with shares plunging nearly 80% from Nike’s 2021 all-time high of $177.51.
The staggering decline is fueling fresh criticism of the company and its past controversies, including Nike’s 2019 decision to pull a planned Betsy Ross flag sneaker after Colin Kaepernick raised concerns over the design.
Sen. Ted Cruz is now taking aim at the brand, pointing back to his own Nike boycott and declaring: “#GoWokeGoBroke.”

Pt. 10 I guess I’ve been spoiled for the last four decades because I’ve never had a company treat my time, money, and loyalty so indispensably. @Nike I refuse to let you do that and stay quiet about it 🤷♀️ #dobetter
I logged onto https://t.co/ZvH8AxhvP5 on August 20, 2026 before 10:00 AM for the Nike Mind Mule launch. I selected the Nike Mind 001 Men's Pregame Mules in Light Smoke Grey/Photon Dust/Hyper Crimson/Chrome (Style: HQ4307-003) in Size: Men's 10
Pt. 9 I asked if there was any way Nike could make this right by sending me the correct order when the stock becomes available again in October, to which I was told NO. This makes absolutely no sense to me. You really have no desire to retain customers, do you?
Pt. 8 I’m now simply receiving a refund of an order I never placed, within “5-10 business days of the return.” This does not resolve the problem. It simply puts me back at square one after completing the launch-day purchasing process. They refuse to correct their error
Pt. 7 After a few days of “escalation,” I have been left empty handed. I actually received the incorrect shoe delivered to my door before anyone even reached back out. So I reached out AGAIN 😰
Pt. 6 I asked Nike to please investigate the cart/order transaction history associated with my order. I requested they honor my original purchase of the Nike Mind 001 Men's Pregame Mule, rather than canceling the incorrect order & telling me the desired product is now unavailable
Pt. 5 I did not select a V5 RNR & I would never select a size 11. I did not change the product in my cart. The fact that Nike's system generated an entirely different product & size after I completed checkout suggests that something went wrong during Nike’s order processing
Pt. 3 I then received my confirmation email for the order. This is where my problem began. When I reviewed the confirmation email, the order was NOT for the Nike Mind 001 Men's Pregame Mules I had selected. Instead, the confirmation showed a Nike V5 RNR in a men's size 11
I entered the queue and waited for the release, then added the Mind 001 Mules in size 10 to my cart. I updated my shipping address and proceeded to checkout using Apple Pay. The Nike website displayed an order confirmation, leading me to believe that my purchase was a success

do u ever watch a film to the end of the credits, pick a name, and think 'hey Clint Youngreen, assistant bear trainer #3, I bet you thought nobody would see you down here, nice job pal'
I knew I'd get too old to recognize new celebrities but I did not expect to get too old to recognize what celebrities are famous for. every day I go "is that a new singer" and then a person born in 2007 goes "ew no they're a peeble streamer on doop" as I inch closer to the grave
