“the camera shows each of the BTS members’ faces in turn, as if paying respect to them and bringing them some solace for everything they went through” - Weverse Magazine 071326
THIS is exactly the reason j-hope has in mind when he came up with the idea of a song that eventually became RUN BTS. He said in his old Weverse interview 061322:
“They really did go through a lot. That’s a fact. (laughs) We all went through a lot and worked hard. So I compressed all those things into one word—gosaeng—to express it, and I put an “s” at the end to make gosaengs. We’ve conveyed many different messages with each of our albums, from “what’s your dream” in the “school trilogy” to now. But then I wondered, have I ever really conveyed a message to the other members? So, when we were working on the album, I told them I wanted to include something where I could speak my mind to the others. What came out of that process was “Run BTS,” and I wanted to give a shout-out in it to the other members."
i genuinely believe the arirang tour will go down as one of jimin's most legendary eras. every hairstyle was completely different, and every single one deserves to be written into the history books.
The Death of the Shuffle Button: Why ARIRANG's Album architecture is extraordinary in the year 2026.
shuffling ARIRANG destroys its structural integrity. the album relies on a strict, irreversible linear layout that moves the listener through a deliberate architectural descent and subsequent climb.
historically, architectural spaces are designed to dictate human behavior. a cathedral forces you to look up; a prison forces you to feel enclosed. album sequencing functions exactly the same way. what makes ARIRANG the standout release of 2026 is how it manipulates the listener’s psychological space thru distinct architectural shifts.
a psychologically effective album structure guides the human brain through a carefully balanced journey of focus, tension, and relief. the brilliance of this layout lies in its weaponization of state-dependent processing. the music industry feeds the illusion that you can jump straight into catharsis or euphoria. ARIRANG understands that emotional payoff cannot be hollowed out and sold separately; it must be earned through transit.
BTS did that with ARIRANG and remains the only album to do this. It proves that true artistic value doesn't come from accommodating a fractured mind, but from having the audacity to repair it.
Namjoon genuinely confuses me because what do you mean you look like you belong on a football team but instead, you play the sax, curate art, write poetry, collect pokemon cards and will teach me how to properly care for baby crabs, a bonsai tree and my mental health
