One of the most profound things I read in my original journey to ADHD diagnosis was what Dr. Ned Hallowell calls “the cough drop sign” in the book, Driven To Distraction.

It comes from one of Hallowell’s ADHD patients:
influencers publicly complaining about working 12 hour days and being tired meanwhile their 12 hour day is doing their own makeup and unboxing louis vuitton on camera and they’re making $250,000+ a year to do it. the rest of us work 12 hour days too babe, and for 1/5th of that 💀
During the 1980s, the queen tried to stop Princess Diana's work in HIV advocacy, telling her to do something "more pleasant." But Diana ignored her, instead using her platform to tackle stigma and offer comfort to terrified people sick with what was then a terminal illness.
