It's much more difficult for me to read novels now. Back in the day I used to always have my nose in a book and depending on length, could finish one in

It's difficult to deal with people who have unrealistic expectations. You can't manage how they feel and act towards you, only how you respond. The only thing you can do is draw boundaries. Then again, it's easy to say 'don't let it get to you', harder to actually do it.
