Q. Is there anyone whom you want to put on your list of Top 5 Heavenly (Vocal) Kings?

Kihyun: There are so many idols who can sing well, right. First, I really respect and like Baekhyun sunbaenim. I like Seventeen’s Seungkwan too. I think mainly of idols whose activities overlapped with ours around the same time, and those two first came to my mind.

Another question about doing a challenge with the Top 5 Heavenly (Vocal) Kings he picked.

Kihyun: As for Seungkwan, since we debuted (on the same year) together and have had a connection all along, I think I could ask him to do that. But as for Baekhyun sunbaemin, I don’t have any connection with him. It would be such an honour if I could even meet him. Should I try sending him a DM? (laughs). I’m a little embarrassed, but I think Shownu hyung has some connection with him, so I’ll try reaching out through him.

Btw when SM prevents you from joining any other agency, forcing you to either start from scratch on your own or just endure their mistreatment, lies and injustices without a word and you choose the first option... it’s obvious what happens next. After being mistreated, deceived and blackmailed, you have to start from zero on your own.
Not to mention that the influence and power of your former agency ensure that you find multiple doors slammed in your face, leaving you with very few alternatives. So, at the first sign of “kindness” you trust it.
You see it as a way to keep moving forward with your dreams and as the only alternative to giving up.

If a company is already doing everything to ruin your career, and as a brand-new agency starting out you desperately need funds to survive, you're forced to rely on the only people who don't seem to fear your former agency and who actually offer support.
If those people then turn out to be just as rotten, exploiting your instability and struggles for profit... well they are still the ones in the wrong.

It is never the victim's fault for suffering an injustice, abuse or a scam.
It is always and exclusively the fault of the person who took advantage of someone else's genuineness and good intentions.

The only thing that emerges from all of this is Baekhyun’s incredible resilience. Anyone else would have broken down but he turned his pain into love for us, in motivation to do even better and to emerge stronger than before, working tirelessly without ever showing his struggle.
He is truly a massive human being.
Full of love, kindness and courage.
