Nice 12-10 win for @RMOysters 18U Black tonight.
Erik was perfect in 3 PA’s. Tripled to lead off the game, added a single, a BB, 3 runs and 2 SB’s.
One of his runs only happens with his 6.66 60 speed.
Also had a huge catch and a sac fly preventing throw in the last inning.
Phew, rough one for the Oysters tonight, we’ll leave that one behind us…
But Erik did come away with a highlight catch from CF to help make the night a little better. 😁
Back tomorrow, CMU field, 6 PM.
Go Oysters!

Valiant effort but @RMOysters fell 14-9 to Post 22.
Erik recorded his first post high school stolen bases, grabbed both 2nd base and 3rd base bags tonight… also had a great catch that Post 22 fans thought was a sure hit for them.
They take on Gillette tomorrow.
Go Oysters!
11-2 win for the @RMOysters against Dickinson in the first game of today’s double header.
Played Rapid City’s Post 22 in the second game tonight, it was a beautiful night for baseball.
Great start for Erik and the Oysters. Triple in his first Oysters at bat. Then was batted in by the next batter.
Up 6-1 after the first against Dickinson ND.
This summer’s adventure for Erik is playing on Coach LeFebre’s @RMOysters 19U baseball team and running track for @poudretrack Coach Thomas.
We’re at Fitzgerald stadium in Rapid City this weekend for the Post 22 Veteran’s Classic.
Looking forward to watching a fun summer!
Erik graduated with honors from Rocky Mountain High School on Saturday.
He had a 3.90 GPA while competing in 4 sports (football, hockey, baseball, and track), earning 9 varsity letters, and setting Rocky’s career stolen base record.
We’re very proud of him.

I’m a bit behind on updating, it’s been a bit emotional as a dad seeing time go by so quickly.
Update for EJ: the regional baseball loss was tough but that opened the door for us to head back to state track. We got Erik there in time to run the opening leg of Rocky’s 4x100 relay finals.
He and his team rocked it. They went from the 9th seed with a prelim time of 42.36,,,, to 4th in the 5A finals with a time of 41.89. Incredible. Erik ran a 10.3 split. Phenomenal. Was an amazing afternoon.
Erik ended his one year HS track career with amazing times and distances: ⬇️
60m: 7.06
60m hurdles: 8.83
100m: 11.08
200m: 22.72
400m: 50.53
LJ: 20’-9”
TJ: 43’-3”
Incredible. All while playing baseball and achieving a 3.92 GPA.
He was a 9-time letter winner among all of his other accomplishments as well.
We’re so grateful and proud to be his parent.
⚡️Video is their state 4th place 4x100, Erik is first leg, lane 9.

Time moves so fast. Erik’s senior high school baseball season came to a close on Saturday.
His high school career was impressive:
- 4-year letterman
- 3-year starter
- 2 conference championships
- 2 region championships
- 2-time 2nd-team all-conference
- Career stolen base leader at Rocky Mountain High School (56 bags)
We’re so thankful we were able to see every game, for the effort he gave every day, and most of all, we’re so thankful for him and for being able to be his parents.
We don’t know yet what he will do next, but we can’t wait to cheer him on in his next chapter and continue to update his page and his story here.
Thank you for following his page and thanks for letting us be a small part of your lives.
