some players just have blue jay forever stamped on them, and kevin gausman was the definition of it.
seeing how much he genuinely cared.. not just about the game, but about the fans, the city of toronto, and what it meant to put on that jersey. made him so much more than just a pitcher on a roster.
really really sad about this. not entirely pleased with the trade either. however, i hope he has a great season and the cubs are one of the few teams i would be not horribly mad at him going to. still extremely upset.
I hate seeing people talk shit about Toronto like they know it. If you live in Toronto you know how special of a place it is and how passionate the people are #GeauxCanada#GeauxBlueJays 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Profiles as a depth piece fourth outfielder. This is what I have to talk myself into for the best free agent pitcher signing for the Blue Jays in my lifetime
What a ride it’s been.
Gausman was the first big free agent signing I got to celebrate as a Blue Jays fan.
What I loved about Gausy was how consistent he was. He would always go out shove, and do the same thing in his next start.
Good luck, Gas Man. Go win a ring.
Max Scherzer reiterated that if the #BlueJays do sell, it's on them as players, but added:
"If they don’t sell, great. We’re getting 40,000 fans a night. We want to go out there and play. We’re only a few games out of the Wild Card and anything can happen. We're a good team."
i’m really emotional about springer and gaus. not prepared for tomorrow, and i’m at work all day so won’t be checking my phone. can’t handle seeing that there..
