Today, the new honor bronze plaque was installed in Manheim Hall, University of Missouri, Kansas City, USA. The image was sent to us by Dr. Frank Manheim, the first-born son of the sociologist to whom our laboratory is named. The first plaque honoring Manheim dates back to 1999.
Today, we celebrate the birth of sociologist Ernest Manheim, a pioneer in public opinion studies who first introduced the diction "mediatization". Manheim inspires us and guides socio-historical studies to this day.
In the Season's Greetings, we honor Manheim who composed Bear Dance, arranged by Camerata Lawrence. He had been fascinated by Wagner, and was given the score of some Wagner operas to study. After moving to London Manheim wrote four-parts songs based on English and Irish poets.
