My European public portfolio: exciting ideas need a boring base.

I like companies like SpaceX and NVIDIA.

That is why I have my 20% Stock Ideas part.

But I don’t want my whole financial future to depend on exciting ideas.

My 80% Base Portfolio does the heavy work:

developed markets,
emerging markets,
small caps,
short-term bonds,
gold.

This part is not here to impress anyone.
It is here to keep the plan alive when the market gets ugly.

Then the Ideas part can do its job:
take calculated risks without turning the whole portfolio into one big bet.

That is the balance I want.
