Hey world.

On Oct 7, 2023, Hamas started a war with Israel. Not a small skirmish. A war.

They murdered over 1200 people and kidnapped over 250. They raped. Viciously. They mutilated people, pushing knives inside of them. They burnt people alive.

They declared war.

War does not end when the number of dead on one side matches the number of dead on the other side.

It doesn’t end when the side that started the war starts to lose and yells“stop”.

It ends when one side wins. When one side declares victory. When one side surrenders. Or when the two sides call for a truce.

Hamas has stated its objective is to destroy Israel. It has stated that it will never recognize Israel’s right to exist. Based on this, there is zero possibility of there ever being any real long lasting truce or peace. The Hamas charter won’t allow for it.

So the war will continue. Until one side is victorious. Or until one side surrenders.

There will be more casualties. More deaths. Of combatants as well as of civilians. Because, tragically, that’s what happens in war.

Civilians in Gaza are not being targeted. They are the unintended victims of the war. A war started by their government.

Israel never wanted this war. Israel wanted to live in peace. But Hamas had other ideas. So now there is a war. A war which Israel will win, there’s no question about it.

And they will make sure Hamas will never be able to kill another Israeli ever again.

And then, there will be a chance for long lasting peace.

@MirabelleW18 @AdinHaykin1 I remember that. There was a paper written around 2012 that concluded that the reason Israelis weren't using rape as a weapon of war like most nations do, was that we see Palestinians as less than human 🤣🤣🤣
