@greenbenali @sianberry Aware of the policy before having children. That's not the policies fault but the governments in informing the population. An unwanted pregnancy doesn't equal a birth. Pregnant people have agency over their own bodies and are able to make a decision if they want to carry to term

@greenbenali @sianberry Interesting read, thanks. The study references the policy in the wider scope of benefits being cut. It's a contributor toward the financial struggles not the sole cause. Yes we should do more to protect families struggling. The study also found families not ....

@greenbenali @sianberry A dip following introduction of this policy. It would be disingenuous to infer any correlation though. The same as it can't be said there is no evidence to say the opposite. Not sure why you brought up women's rights, I don't see the connection?

@greenbenali @sianberry It doesn't plunge larger families into poverty. The policy was in place in the 2015 budget and applied to children born after 2017. These families haven't had something taken away from them. UK Birth rates have been in decline since around 2013 and the rate did indeed take...
