We are really looking forward to attending Earth Day at Weoley Castle Square on Saturday 22nd April. We'll have badge and volcano making, our slime glacier and our brand new Trail 4 leaflets!
Many thanks indeed to our volunteers who joined the BCGS at a clearance session of the Illey Pastures Boulder earlier this month.
This fantastic example of an Arenig erratic is only partially exposed, and we were keen to get a better idea of just how large it is!
We'll be at The Lapworth Museum tomorrow from 12:00 to 5:00 for our 'From Fire to Ice' Family Event. Make your own volcano, a Jurassic creature badge or decorate a snowflake! This will be our last event of 2022, so do join us if you can!
Huge thanks to all those that have been in touch with us following the recent media interest in our project. We have received numerous 'boulder sightings' and our volunteer team is busy checking them out!
We'll report back soon with details of any new finds!
Exciting news!
Some of our Project Team were interviewed by the BBC today! Filming started at the @LapworthMuseum then moved to other locations. We are hoping to feature in Midlands Today this evening.
Our temporary exhibition at The Lapworth Museum - Birmingham's Boulders - is now in place. Visitors to The Lapworth can view the displays until mid-January. Many thanks to designer Antony and Lapworth staff John and Lizzy for their fantastic contributions to the exhibition.
After a lovely day at Rowheath Pavilion last Saturday, we held our Trail 7 Launch on Sunday.
