After this protest a few months ago, and a constant follow up by our Corporator Sampada Mayekar ji, today we can report that the @mybmc has agreed to our demand of cancelling the privatisation of this school.

The school has been a @mybmcedu school, with a big plot and a small ground attached to it.

The regime, in absence of elected representatives, had privatised it. We protested against it and today, we have ensured that the school will remain with the BMC.

Now we will pursue the BMC to rebuild the school here, that will provide free and quality education to all those who enrol here.

🚨 कुंभारवाडा येथील दुर्गादेवी महानगरपालिका शाळा पीपीपी तत्त्वावर खासगी संस्थेच्या ताब्यात देण्याचा डाव हाणून पाडण्यात आम्हाला यश आले आहे! 🚨

शिवसेना - उद्धव बाळासाहेब ठाकरे पक्षाच्या नगरसेविका संपदा मयेकर जी ह्यांनी स्थानिक नागरिक, पालकांसह जून २०२६ पासून दिलेला लढा आणि आपण केलेल्या सातत्यपूर्ण पाठपुराव्यामुळे प्रशासनाला निविदा प्रक्रिया स्थगित करून केलेले वाटप रद्द करावे लागले.

तसेच खासगीकरणाचे पीपीपी धोरणही रद्द करण्यात आले.

दुर्गादेवी शाळेची पुनर्बांधणी महानगरपालिकेमार्फतच होऊन सर्वसामान्य विद्यार्थ्यांना मोफत व दर्जेदार शिक्षण मिळेपर्यंत आमचा पाठपुरावा सुरूच राहील!

मुंबईतील मनपा शाळांची एक इंचही जागा आम्ही खासगी विकासकांच्या घशात घालू देणार नाही.

आम्ही भाजपला मुंबई विकू देणार नाही!
