1 year ago today:
israel killed the husband and 9 children of Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, a pediatric doctor at Nasser Hospital.
Just minutes after Dr. Alaa left her home that morning, an airstrike hit their house, killing 9 of their children:
Yahya (12), Rakan (10), Eve (9), Jubran (8), Raslan (7), Rifan (5), Sadeen (3), Luqman (2), and Sidar (6 months old).
Her husband, Dr. Hamdi al-Najjar, also a doctor at Nasser Hospital, was severely injured and died a week later.
Their tenth child, Adam (11), survived with serious injuries and later had his hand amputated.
The bodies were said to have been burned beyond recognition, mutilated, and decapitated. Two of them, Yahya and Sidar, were never found.
Israel is depraved in a way that not even apartheid South Africa was. Apartheid, through its racism, dehumanised many white South Africans. This seems to have gone even further in Israel where any pretence of humanity or decency has been obliterated by racist dehumanisation & unimaginable violence, evil & psychotic sadism

Thiago Ávila and Saif Abu Keshek of the Global Sumud Flotilla have been brought to Israel, unlike other activists.
About 175 activists of the Gaza flotilla, seized in the night between Wednesday and Thursday by Israeli forces in international waters of the Mediterranean Sea, have disembarked on the island of Crete. Most of the participants have been released in Crete, but Thiago Ávila and Saif Abu Keshek remain the only ones detained and now risk detention in Israel.
This disparity in treatment raises serious questions and requires immediate attention.
Freedom for Thiago and Saif.

Did you know that Dr Hussam Abu Afiya, the heroic doctor who stayed until the last moment in his bombed out hospital saving lives, and who the Israeli army abducted illegally, is STILL kept in chains? Now, Israel seeks to extend his illegal detention. Speak out!
LIVE FOOTAGE: After days of being trapped under the rubble, two Palestinian children were saved by First Responders.
They were found hugging each other.
This eye-witness testimony, on camera, is more evidence than we have related to 10/7 sexual violence. And there is far more evidence than this: medical reports, testimony from doctors and nurses, forensic evidence, and victim testimony also exists.
That is the kind of evidence people have been asking for when it comes to 10/7. Instead, we get empty assertions and accusations of "rape denial" from the same people who will not say one word about the systemic sexual violence doled out to Palestinians in Israeli detention. Including by dogs.
What a picture!
Israeli soldiers and settlers have prevented Palestinian children from going to school by blocking the routes with razor wire.
So instead, the Palestinian children take out their school books and start studying right next to the masked Israeli soldiers.

Israel carried out a “triple tap,” killing three medical workers and wounding six, outside of Nabatieh today.
Paramedics were trying to rescue wounded from an airstrike, when they were struck. Another ambulance came to rescue the medical workers and was struck. A third rescue attempt was made, and that ambulance was struck too. A paramedic remains missing.
Israel has killed over 90 healthcare workers in Lebanon in about six weeks.

April 12, 2026, I visited Marwan Barghouti in my capacity as his lawyer.
What I confirmed through this visit is deeply alarming. In recent weeks, Marwan Barghouti has been subjected to three violent assaults. On April 8 in Ganot Prison, he was severely beaten and left bleeding for more than two hours. He requested medical care and was denied treatment. On March 25, he was assaulted during his transfer from Megiddo to Ganot. On March 24, in Megiddo Prison, guards entered his cell with a dog, forced him to the ground, and the dog repeatedly attacked him.
These are not isolated incidents. They form a clear pattern of escalating abuse: violence, medical neglect, and treatment that places him at immediate risk.
He had a great deal to say. Above all, he wanted to know more about his family and the Palestinian people, What is happening in Palestinian and Israeli scene I tried to tell him everything I know.
But even that conversation took place under absurd conditions: the phones did not work, so we had to shout through the glass just to hear each other.
For five hours, I sat there without food or water, trying to make sure this visit meant something.
This is what a legal visit looks like today: basic conditions denied, communication obstructed, and even the most elementary human and professional standards ignored.
And still, despite all of that, his mind was sharp, focused, and deeply engaged with everything happening outside those prison walls.
60 Palestinians were being transported by the Israel Defense Forces in a garbage truck; Israel is oppressing innocent Palestinians, and the world remains silent.
