In the last 30 years, Netanyahu has been Prime Minister of Israel for more than 17 years (i.e. 56 per cent of the time). He's served in that office longer than any other politician. The major opposition leaders share his core belief there should be no Palestinian state ever. The idea that Netanyahu doesn't represent Israel is absurd.
PSA to all you closeted trans girls replying how “lucky” we are to have a life to transition, I need you to understand that it wasn’t easy.
We’ve lost family.
We’ve lost friends.
We’ve lost support and stability.
It took pain and sacrifice.
Luck had nothing to do with it.
Hormones are absolutely foundational to our happiness as transsexuals and any position about "putting the work in" or "loving yourself" that doesn't start by acknowledging that is inherently hostile towards us
I've had a lot of questions, attacks, feedback and more on this, and I feel it's important that you all understand something:
If you're not paranoid about infiltration and agent provocateurs, you're not paying attention, and you're not being serious. 🧵
Owen Jones was prepared to throw Jeremy Corbyn under the bus prior to the 2017 general election. Even after that, he spent much of his time attacking Corbyn loyalists and promoting the fake 'antisemitism crisis'. After the 2019 election, he wrote a Zionist apologia for the Nakba in his book 'This Land'.
Owen Jones is not a friend. He is a fair-weather lightweight who will help to tank any new party from the inside, so that he can keep his cushy column at the Guardian. Don't trust him.
I can't stand seeing neurotipical people say stuff like "my special interest" or "overstimulated". That's not your special interest, that's your hobby and you are not overstimulated, you are overwhelmed. And you are not going "nonverbal", you just don't feel like talking.
There is no conflict between trans people and lesbians. There is a conflict between trans people and a few loud campaigners using lesbians as props for their reactionary agenda. 96% of non-trans lesbians self-describe as supportive of trans people, according to a recent survey.
to suggest any white person is subject to the same level of discrimination that black people face in this country or anywhere is just abject racism in itself
it is not surprising that the fact that racism is violence of any kind done to people who aren't white is attacked and ridiculed by the establishment of this racist country
The idea that gender is this thing that entirely exists inside of you that is not dependent at all on how you exist in the world and in turn how the world sees you is such peak liberal nonsense—for the most part gender is an action, it's something you *do*
Feel like I'm going insane because she's correct here. She's not saying other forms of racism aren't awful, but she is stating the obvious which is that if you are clearly a person of colour, as in on sight, the racism comes in a different form.
