My first tribe is Woman. I watched this woman speak in the Linda Mwananchi Forum in Sindo. She said she is an aspiring Woman Representative in a Coastal County, I think Kwale. I was told of her ordeal. I purposed to and did meet her and another woman victim of violence yesterday when she was enroute to Mombasa after being discharged from a hospital in Kisumu. She was in a wheel chair. She was still in extreme pain. But that is not all. She gave a harrowing account of her ordeal and how close she came to death. As bood was oozing from her head uncontrollably, a "young man" who was part of the earlier beatings, raised his panga to finish her off when a woman who was nearby and knew him by name pleaded with him and told him there is no reason to kill an unharmed helpless woman. The young man apologized and said he only does that because he is jobless and they were given money and instructed to kill " Wantam" proponents.

His sense of humanity returned. He then hid her in a toilet. Got her first aid, and eventually got an Ambulance to ferry them to hospital. He even provide another " young man" to protect her.
This lady and Hon Perpetua and other women who spoke were specifically targeted.

One lost her security.

Some women were reportedly raped.

As a senior woman leader, all I can say now is I am shaking in rage. I did not sleep. I am shaking in rage.

• Oyugis–Rodi Kopany — 43 km

• Gucha Bridge–Masara–Migori access roads — ~30 km
• Kisumu urban dualling & expressways — ~25 km

That is roughly 419 km of roads across Luo Nyanza. Much of it was built in his second term,it took only four years,Ruto has built only 10 km across that regio.
