@clarkphp@ramsey@jimbojsb @kadler_ibm The reason for supporting Little Endian ((LE) is that Linux for other distributions of Linux were already LE-based. At this point I believe that all of the major Linux distributors are only supporting LE for Power.
@clarkphp@ramsey@jimbojsb @kadler_ibm Linux on POWER was historically Big Endian (BE) - this was due to the processor being BE-based which of course is what bot AUX and IBMi are. In I believe the Power 7 days the processor was enabled for both Big and Little Endian in what was often termed bi-endian.
