Students who set their own goals and get regular feedback on progress have higher levels of achievement in general, beyond only the goals they set (Hattie, 2009; Henderlong, et al., 2007). Here is a student goal setting sheet. Feel free to use. #LeadInclusion#education#edchat
And that’s a wrap for Term 3 with ice-cream for everyone. Our younger design and engineers successfully made ice-cream. There was lots of shacking, but most got there in the end. #inquiry#STEM#engineering#designthinking
Critical & creative thinking on overdrive. Ss working collaboratively to communicate and solve an authentic & meaningful problem. Makes my 💙🖤 🎤 🎶…proud moments leading to the end of the term. Bring on Friday🍦 #inquiry#engineering#designthinking#STEM
A sneak peak at Ss (David Attenborough in the making) using @Doink to film their documentary about Australian and local animals whose environment is being impacted by recent weather change. @TriciaFuglestad#inquiry#STEM
@DeputyGrocott I created a my tree using thick good quality brown wrapping paper. I layered & twisted it to make the trunk & branches. Cut leaves from green coloured paper & crape paper. I integrated it across most learning areas. Not just a decoration. It was purposeful. Had it for 2yrs.
Mapped out the structure of an explicit lesson based on my reading of Explicit Instruction: Effective & Efficient Teaching by Anita Archer & Charles A. Hughes. Highly recommend.

@smitheesusan@aliceleung Similarly my daughter in Yr 11 tells me everyday there is a hall full of students that are being supervised. One day she was in there for 3 of her classes - no teachers. As a teacher myself I understand but it’s just not good enough. This will impact her HSC.
