Congratulations to Hon. @MercyLakiskis upon her appointment as State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs!
As a young woman who defied the odds to emerge as the Woman Member of Parliament for Alebtong District, Hon. Lakisa's journey is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the growing leadership potential of Uganda's youth.
Her appointment is not only a win for young people but also a strong affirmation of women's leadership in public service. Many young Ugandans see in her a reflection of their aspirations and a reminder that age should never be a barrier to leadership.
As she assumes this important office, young people across the country look forward to her championing meaningful youth participation in decision-making, expanding employment and entrepreneurship opportunities, strengthening skills development, protecting children's rights, and ensuring that youth voices are at the center of Uganda's development agenda.
We wish her wisdom, courage, and success as she serves Uganda's young people and children.
Ready for the Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Campaign 2026? It’s going to be big. Massive. Unforgettable. We’re still being impactful — louder voices, wider reach, deeper change. One girl, one choice, one future at a time.
Be part!

We ended the day with a cake cutting session and this was a symbol of growth, impact and consistency in showing up for communities over the years.
Eight years of partnerships, kindness and collective action that continue to inspire change across Uganda.
As we shared the cake, we also shared gratitude for every partner, volunteer and supporter who has been part of this journey. Here’s to the impact we have made and the even greater good ahead.
Happy 8 years of doing good together! #GoodDeedsDayUganda
Later that day, we held a pre #GoodDeedsDayUganda event at Dominion Nursery and Primary School, where girls received sanitary pads and every pupil received a book, pen and pencil. What may seem small can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
There’s something powerful about walking together for a cause that matters. Today, young people have shown up, raised their voices, and reminded us all that Think good, Speak good, Do good is very key. This is what #GoodDeedsDayUganda looks like in action.

Yesterday was filled with impact featuring powerful pupil presentations, inspiring speeches, tree planting, exhibitions and a life-saving blood donation drive. Every activity reflected unity, service and hope, embodying the true spirit of #GoodDeedsDayUganda.
🙌🏾Good Deeds Day was honoured by Irene Nakasiita of the @UgandaRedCross whose presence brought depth to the celebration and reminded young people that compassion, preparedness, and community responsibility matter. #GoodDeedsDayUganda#DoGood

Save lives, someone is second chance is just blood, why not be good and donate for those ineed.
Frame one I was starting the process of donation.
Sustainability in action led by young champions.
Through tree planting, they are learning responsibility and care for the environment.
Good deeds today are creating a healthier tomorrow.
This is youth leadership at its best.
