I started building Watti about 3 months ago and I think I'll be working on this thing for quite a while :)
Before I release all the source code, I want to get it to a point where someone else can actually build one. There are still a lot of things I need to figure out before that.
The most important one, obviously, is teaching Watti to jump so he can finally crush that letter I 😄
I have a bunch of other ideas too. I want to try 3D scanning with the depth camera, make Watti react and interact with people, connect an LLM and see how far I can take the assistant side of it. I'd also like to make it easy to add custom stuff to the lamp. A beer opener, for example, because why not.
And at some point I should probably remember that I'm building a lamp and make it good at being a lamp too 😂
Since you guys have been so active here, I'll try to drop some stuff in this community that I normally don't post — random development updates, experiments, files, unfinished things, whatever I'm working on at the time.
Eventually I want the whole thing to be open source and buildable by anyone who's motivated enough to actually attempt it.
The picture is from the very beginning of the project. That's basically how Watti started.
And seriously, thanks for all the support. Not just the financial part. Seeing that people actually enjoy this weird thing I've been building in my spare time is really motivating.
I'll keep building it either way :)
I have paid for $Watti boosting within my X Page. Purely out my own pocket. No profits have been taken from $Watti whatsoever. If anyone wishes to help please dm me, Give me detailed information about $Watti including:
- Further information
- Future plans
- More video clips including $Watti in action.
LFG, I will personally make sure everyone eats. 🔥🔥
i did not sell my holding i've been round trip many times but i choose to stay because i believe in this project.
I try to support the chart and buy those dips but i can't control the market.
anyways gonna do my best here as always.
i want to see Watti jump lol
I don’t normally comment, but it seems like @escanoaar sold everything at its lowest. Stupid.
The original dev of the device ‘Watti’ is still involved in building a this as a legitimate community. Let’s CTO this, i can genuinely see a 1m+ MC for Watti.
LFGGGGG 🔥🔥

Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it! :)
I already have a pretty long roadmap for Watti, but I'm curious - what would you guys add to it? Is there any feature or behavior you'd really like to see in the lamp?
Would be fun to steal a few ideas from the community 😄

setting up the official X account for Watti! We’re building for the long run here.
fully backing @NickTyulkin as he continues to upgrade and evolve Watti.
everything is locked in. Chill out, stay patient, and hold your bags, chads!
Since a lot of you just found Watti, here's a quick 3-month update :)
It now runs on ROS 2, has RGB + depth vision, its own animation editor, and a fully 3D-printed body.
I spent most of the time making the movements feel more expressive. Next up: more autonomous behavior, interaction, and eventually teaching it to jump.
Instead of another technical demo, I made a little story :)
