Do you know what river is called "the Mother River" in China?

The answer is the Yellow River, which runs through seven provinces and two autonomous regions in China from west to east. #PeonyForum2024

Originating from the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the Yellow River is the second-longest river in China and is usually deemed the cradle of Chinese civilization. In ancient times, the river carried tons of loess, part of which was deposited at the bottom of the channel, and the sedimentation formed the vast land. The ancestors living near the basin applied the flowing water to irrigate the land and develop plantations, which paved the way for the growth of Chinese civilization.

As one of the cities by the Yellow River, Heze in east China's Shandong Province will hold the World Peony Conference from April 8.
