Theirs so much stigma surrounding it.

What it seems to me is you care more about the people who own the vacant apartments making their money back on their investment of the property.

However, I'm more concerned about housing people that need housing.

So that way, people who need housing can get it.

I think when there are 88,830 vacant apartments being held hostage by landlords in the midst of a housing crisis, NYC probably needs a vacancy tax (and lots of housing justice).

A good friend of mine lost her job suddenly and is trying to avoid homelessness. What are some good mutual aid resources -groups , orgs, discord servers etc. that can help me.
I don't think I would be able to garner enough engagement on my own to meaningfully help!
