I had the honor of being invited to the Georgetown College Creative Writing Workshop this spring semester, where some of my fiction received much-needed feedback. Even better, it was incredibly rewarding watching students grow as writers over four months.

@KingsofMunster Waiting for all the episodes to fully release in order to binge properly. The two novellas were really great reads. I hope to see the third sometime soon.
David Lowery's The Green Knight is easily one of my favorite films of all time. It's dark and gritty and mythical. There is a sense of horror and dread and a deep-set melancholy about it all. But there is something about how it was filmed, the shadows... it's all very captivating.
There's also a bonus short film that you can watch as a companion sold with the BluRay: Oak Thorn & Old Rose of Love -- just amazing. Hope to see more from Lowery.
Kicking off the new year by tightening up an 8,000-word sci-fi, The Space Buoy Service.
Next, completing my novel Prometheus Unchained, a retelling of ancient Greek mythology, spanning the creation, the Titanomachy, Prometheus's punishment, and beyond.

In 2025: Nine short stories completed, a contest win & publication with Typewriter Chicago, two Writers of the Future Honorable Mentions (Q3 & Q4), and multiple chapters into a 39-chapter novel, Prometheus Unchained. A productive year, and I'm grateful.

@ProseProsPod Very insightful.
I found myself agreeing with you two on the 'good' and 'great' writer statement. As you said, it's subjective. Most of the greats I know of have put in the work at some point.
@KingsofMunster I appreciate that you took the time to read it, and it means more than you might know.
Thank you for the encouragement. I've just submitted a rather large piece tonight. Fingers crossed.
@KingsofMunster Good to meet you too. And I agree. When I read some of my first drafts, I'm often reminded why not rushing a thing is so incredibly important.
Film scripts are interesting, too. I couldn't think of anything more rewarding than having a work of fiction turned into a film.
I just spent ten minutes changing a dialogue tag from 'asked' to 'said' ...just to change it back to 'asked' again to avoid too many 'saids'...
Time for a break.

@KingsofMunster That's a lot of commitment. The novelette I'm polishing up is right at 2.5 years.
But we're still in the trenches together.
Do you work on novels and short stories?
