Got back from trekking up Mount Olympus yesterday, worked today, finally sat down to watch a series and accidentally passed out. Flatmate sees me asleep, turns every light on and starts banging around. Silly me for expecting the human equivalent of a potato to have consideration.

And by that logic, what about Turkey’s continued military presence in northern Cyprus? If armed conflict is genuinely the principle, there are plenty of precedents AVROTROS would have to address.

AVROTROS refusing Eurovision 2027 because “a country is still involved in armed conflict” is laughable. If that’s their principle, why didn’t they withdraw in 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine? You can’t apply a principle selectively.
