I am disabled in ways that I could never have predicted when I took out loans but which I prevent me from working as many hours as I cld then.

And BK protection existed then and doesn't now. I'd say quite a bit has changed. Do some research. Then come back and make an informed point.

On the other hand, have you seen a Dr, nurse, atty, ther a post, teacher, professor, clergyperson? If so, you have been probably gotten services from someone with SL.

Ppl w/ SLs who come into hard times (divorce, job loss, caregiving responsibilities, etc) have NO RECOURSE. We can't declare bankruptcy; the IDR plans font work. We are trapped.

@johnnbgourmet32 @PattyMurray @POTUS It doesn't work that way. The loans have been taken out of the books when funds dispersed. Perhaps the govt will lose a little in interest, but that is probably less than what it spends to collect.
