Expanding our hospice program to Great Falls, MT enabled us to broaden the scope of our clinical services to provide a continuum of care for some of our aging clients already receiving our home health and personal care services, as well as individuals in the larger community.
After a three-year capital campaign, our headquarters moved to a newly-renovated space. We also completely remodeled the original headquarters building the next year to better fit the needs of participants in our disability and adult day services.
Our children’s services in Utah expanded in 2009 to include early intervention for infants & toddlers with developmental delays. Provo Early Intervention Program continues today & serves more than 400 children annually. Learn more about our history at https://t.co/gGjhO364c2.
Our service area expanded to include the state of Utah in 2006, after acquiring the Easter Seals affiliation for the state. Services focused on children’s programs and senior employment services. Children and seniors continue to be a primary focus of our Utah programs today.
What began as a reading group, evolved into a theater troupe called The Easter Seals Players. The troupe held an annual production on stage at the local WYO Theater for more than 15 years. Performances ranged from spoofs on tv shows like Gilligan’s Island to lively musicals.
Intimate, family-style homes, rather than larger traditional group homes, have been the hallmark of our residential services for people with intellectual disabilities in Sheridan, Wyoming. Since 2000 we have added three additional homes and an 10-unit apartment complex.
Assisting welfare recipients to gain skills & re-enter the workforce started for us in 1999. In Idaho, Working Solutions expanded its territory to eventually serve welfare recipients statewide. Today, we now serve this population for SNAP recipients statewide in Montana.

A highlight of our vocational programs during the 1980s was the assembly and manufacturing operation located in Great Falls. By the mid-1980s more than 90 adults with disabilities worked there. #EastersealsGoodwillSeventyFiveYears#75YearsChangingLives
