AI shouldn't stop at telling you how to fix a problem. It should help you fix it.
That's why I'm building Kyro — an open-source desktop AI agent for real computer tasks. Still early. Building in public.
What's one task you'd trust an AI agent to handle?

@tirupathipodugu Exactly. Execution is only half the problem — users need to trust what happens on their machine. Kyro needs transparent tool activity, scoped permissions, approval for risky actions, and verification that the task actually succeeded. Autonomy without control isn't a feature.
@engineer_output Absolutely. That's the gap I'm focused on closing with Kyro — not just making the agent execute successfully, but verifying that the entire workflow works as expected through the actual UI. A passing test isn't enough if the user experience breaks. Appreciate the perspective!
🚀 Meet Kyro — an open-source AI agent for everyone.
Organize files, understand documents, automate tasks, and control your computer with AI. 🔒 Privacy-first. Built with Rust.

I built an AI coding agent that doesn't just suggest code — it ships it.
Terminal-native. Six-phase workflow. Git rollback chain. Zero telemetry.
One static binary, any shell.

I built SLMGen — an automated SLM fine-tuning engine with Python + Unsloth.
Upload a dataset → it analyzes quality & task → picks the right small model → generates a ready-to-run fine-tuning notebook.
No boilerplate. No guesswork. Just Run All and train. 🚀
Building in public taught me one thing: clarity beats hype every time. If you’re into open-source, systems, AI infra, and shipping real products instead of buzzwords - you’ll probably enjoy what I share here. Follow for signal, not noise. 🚀
GitHub Copilot just got Agent Skills
Copilot can now load reusable “skills” (instructions + scripts + resources) to handle specialized tasks automatically.
Works in Copilot Agent, CLI, and VS Code Insiders (stable soon).Copilot is evolving from autocomplete → real coding agent.
🚀 Big milestone for Linux! Rust is officially no longer experimental in the Linux kernel — it’s now a mainstream, first-class language alongside C in upstream mainline. 🙌 Memory safety without sacrificing performance is becoming real in core systems. #RustLang#LinuxKernel
