Stewart’s Melville College, The Mary Erskine School and the ESMS Nursery and Junior School are merging to create a fully co-ed school for 3-18-year-olds, starting from the 2026/27 academic year.

It’s Wear Red Day! 🟥
Staff and students across all Schools showed their support for @SRTRC_England just before the Oct break. The UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity has run many workshops at ESMS over the years and it’s great to see our community unite for this cause!

Just before the mid-term break, MES hosted the Politics and International Relations Careers event, inviting schools from across Edinburgh to connect with a range of speakers, including keynote @cllrcammyday.

Students and staff filled the SMC Library this lunchtime to exchange a powerful selection of poems, delivered in English, French and even in song form!

The theme is “Refuge” and it’s great to see everyone come together this way.🤗

This week we welcomed back Former Pupil, Royal Marines Commando and presenter @JJChalmersRM. He shared his extraordinary story and spoke to our students at SMC about his current work for the Invictus Foundation and Halo Trust. Needless to say, our students left feeling inspired!

Our Junior School skiing teams slalomed their way to the podium last week during the Dual Slalom Qualifiers! ⛷️ Team A won gold and are now set to compete in the National Championships in November, while Team B won bronze. 🥇🥉 Brilliant work, everybody!

Ann is a sports all-rounder and has so far tried hockey, netball and basketball, to name just a few of her favourites.
