JP Morgan owns the airport terminal on Toronto Island. They’re lobbying HARD for the runway expansion that will wreck the waterfront.
They’ve now gone into PR crisis mode.
This spin is revealing tho - Carney met with JPM’s CEO in NYC. The fix is in

The idea Billy Bishop should become a regional hub is a complete joke.
Security literally only handles a single person at a time.
I challenge the government to try and show a business case.
As @chrisglover says nobody will loan $5B to a business making $17M.
@TomPark1n Love a BlogTO rehash of metrolinx press...
The rail path work on the Randolph Ave side is 2 years late already and we still don't have an opening date for that OR the tunnel on the subway-side.
The history of missing out on this potential interchange at Bloor probably goes back seventy-five(?) years. Before UP Express (2015), the GO Georgetown Line (1974) and the subway (1966) TTC had a very busy Bloor Street streetcar & CN was running commuter trains on this track.
StOp ReSiSTiNg 🤡 FFS—the dumb chuds drove over him two (2) fucking times. Shut this shit down. Fire every last one of these dumb fucking rapists and wife-beaters.
Not a single line in this article about the fact that our provincial government has spend its time in power gutting public education in order to pave the way for this trend.
What a perfect example of how Torontonians will be shut out of the airport debate when the province assumes our role in the airport agreement: Olivia Chow accuses Toronto Port Authority of hiding early island airport jet expansion plans. https://t.co/fxuC2VjcE6 #topoli#onpoli
Ford also seized the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. That's the length of Front St. from Union Station to the CN Tower.
+ Exhibition Place
+ Ontario Place
+ the Toronto Islands
+ the island airport
With Palantir building a mysterious something right in the middle.
Official procedure of the Toronto Police Service is to not fire at a vehicle which is presenting a hazard to police and/or the public, as this is considered "ineffective": https://t.co/UuZUdFzKAG
The public deserves further context on why this response was deployed.
Uber seems to be using AI generated images for Toronto attractions that are fairly misleading compared to the real thing (the AGO does not have that tower and Ripley's should be right beside the CN tower).
Not sure why they couldn't just use stock or promotional images!
The funniest possible outcome of the AI mandate era is about to be HR departments discovering that "sincerely held religious belief" under Title VII has a much lower bar than they assumed, and Pope Leo handed every Catholic employee a written excuse.
@TorontoPolice#Toronto police consistency, enforce: cyclist speed in 20km shared trail/path flats; faded or covered license plate; drivers creating their own lane; TTC running stop signs, parking in no stopping...
@TorontoPolice@TheBikingLawyer I see cops on bikes and in patrol cars blow stop signs every single day. You guys are a violent gang of criminals that make the city unsafe anywhere that you are present.
@TorontoPolice@TheBikingLawyer meanwhile these are the few times I managed to record cars that have almost injured or killed me in Toronto. I have NEVER seen a TPS officer monitor cross walks for what is clearly a serious danger to Torontonians
@TorontoPolice@TheBikingLawyer Wow. Do better. There are videos from this same interaction where motorists are seen rolling through this exact same intersection where officers do not engage the motorists who have committed the exact same infraction. This is disproportionate use of force and uneven policing.
